Each year the Program sends eye teams to East Timor. The teams distribute spectacles and perform up to 800 consultations and 100 operations during each visit.
The Program is very lucky to have a dedicated team of optometrists, ophthalmologists (eye surgeons) and nurses who volunteer their time and skills, year after year to participate on these visits.
From time to time, there are opportunities for people with other skills ranging from medical professionals to marketing professionals to get involved and the Program welcomes enquiries from interested people.
